Registered Respiratory Therapist in Gastonia, NC

Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Shift hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend rotation
• 75% of holidays required
• No on-call or call-back obligations

Qualifications:

• Current NC Respiratory Care licensure as RRT or CRT
• Minimum 2 years of active respiratory therapy experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (Resource Team)
• Proficiency in critical care, CVICU, NICU, emergency department, progressive care, and floor therapies
• Experience with EPIC EMR and advanced respiratory equipment including Servo ventilators, Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, and bubble CPAP
• Ability and willingness to float among facilities within Region 2, including freestanding emergency departments and multiple hospitals
• Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from primary unit

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced respiratory care to adult and NICU patients across multiple settings
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient care, maintaining safety and adherence to protocols
• Flexibly float between assigned facilities, with paid travel time if mid-shift changes are required
• Document clinical interventions accurately using EPIC EMR
• Uphold department culture, prioritizing teamwork and alignment with organizational values
