Advance your career as a Respiratory Therapist in a dynamic pediatric setting supporting a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center with 247 licensed beds and an array of specialized services. Work within a collaborative environment with strong respiratory leadership, serving neonate, pediatric, and adult patients requiring respiratory care.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour night shifts (1900-0700), 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend rotation
- No call or call back requirements
- 75% of holidays worked per cycle
- Schedule cycle resets every 6 weeks
Qualifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Current North Carolina licensure
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (Resource Team)
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, preferably as part of a Resource Team
- Demonstrated experience with IPPV/NIPPV ventilators
- Experience in ED, PICU, Pediatric CVICU, Pediatric PCU, and general medical floors
- Open to first-time travelers
- Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver respiratory care across all patient populations in the facility, with emphasis on neonate and pediatric patients; may provide adult care as needed within the hospital
- Operate ventilators and respiratory equipment (specific brands/models to be discussed during the interview)
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams in high-acuity care environments
- Adhere to departmental procedures and protocols, including proper use of EPIC EMR
- Maintain compliance with weekend and holiday rotation requirements
- Participate in comprehensive orientation (NEO plus 2 days departmental)
