Registered Respiratory Therapist in Gastonia, NC

Schedule and Hours:

• 12-hour night shifts (19:00-07:00)
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation: every other weekend
• No on-call required
• 75% holiday work expectation (with up to 6 days off, excluding holidays, with contract extension if needed)

Qualifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Active North Carolina license
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Respiratory Therapy, particularly in a resource team capacity
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Proficiency with IPPV/NIPPV ventilators
• Clinical exposure to ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, and General Med Floors
• EMR experience with EPIC
• Open to first-time travelers
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care across all units, with a focus on neonates, pediatrics, and adults as needed
• Manage mechanical ventilators and utilize advanced respiratory care techniques
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including robust respiratory leadership support
• Participate in a structured orientation including NEO and departmental training
• Adhere to departmental standards, including royal blue scrubs
