Qualifications:

• Active credentials as a Respiratory Therapist, with current state licensure
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• Previous experience in an acute care or hospital setting is strongly preferred
• Proficient in performing assessments, administering treatments, and operating respiratory equipment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to respond promptly and effectively in fast-paced situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering all aspects of respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including administering oxygen, breathing treatments, and other therapeutic interventions
• Monitoring patient responses and adjusting therapies according to medical directives and patient needs
• Assisting physicians and nurses with diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas sampling and pulmonary function testing
• Educating patients and families on respiratory management and at-home care techniques
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in patient records
• Ensuring safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times
