Qualifications and Experience:
- Active registration as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT credential required)
- Valid state license as a Respiratory Therapist
- Proven clinical experience working as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Deep knowledge of current respiratory care modalities, ventilator support, pulmonary function testing, and airway management techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with physicians, nurses, and patient families
- Ability to assess patient needs and rapidly respond to emergencies or changes in condition
- Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by attending physicians
- Perform assessments and monitor patients with acute or chronic respiratory issues
- Set up, operate, and maintain mechanical ventilators and other respiratory devices safely
- Conduct diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function studies
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and equipment use
- Document all treatments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
