Step into a vital clinical role supporting patient care through expert respiratory therapy! This contract opportunity seeks a skilled professional with a strong background in respiratory care to deliver and monitor life-support interventions, assist in resuscitation, and provide both invasive and non-invasive therapies for patients in intensive care and general practice settings.

Schedule:

  • 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
  • 1845-0715 (overnight)
  • Every other weekend required

Key Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with current state licensure and certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a respiratory care setting
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proficient in performing diagnostic procedures and delivering medical gas therapies
  • Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, colleagues, and medical staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced respiratory support and monitoring to patients under the supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor
  • Perform and interpret both invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures
  • Administer a variety of respiratory therapies in compliance with hospital standards
  • Serve as a mentor and supervisor to less experienced staff, externs, and students, ensuring high standards of patient care
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient interactions and therapies
  • Accurately complete patient billing records as required
