Schedule:
- Night shifts
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week duration
Qualifications:
- Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- Active and unrestricted New York State Respiratory Therapist license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proven experience in critical care and neonatal intensive care (NICU) settings
- Proficiency with V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett ventilators
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records
- Ability and willingness to participate in external patient transports
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations, with a focus on intensive care and critical cases
- Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gases, pulmonary function tests, and airway management assessments
- Initiate and manage various types of ventilator support, including V60 BiPAP and Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, in accordance with clinical protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams using the EPIC system
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, intubation assistance, and code team support
- Travel as needed for patient transport outside the facility, ensuring continuity of care and safety
