Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Johnson City, NY

Seeking a dedicated professional to fill a contract role as a Registered Respiratory Therapist specializing in critical care. This opportunity features a night shift schedule, offering 36 hours per week over a 13-week period. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise and demonstrate comfort in high-acuity, fast-paced environments.

Schedule:

• Night shifts
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week engagement

Qualifications:

• Active NBRC RRT certification
• Valid and current NYS Respiratory Therapist License
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proven experience in critical care and NICU settings
• Proficiency with V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett ventilators
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records
• Prior participation in external patient transports is required

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to adult and neonatal critical care populations
• Operate advanced respiratory equipment, including non-invasive and invasive ventilation systems
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in EPIC
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for effective patient management
• Safely accompany and manage patients during external transports while maintaining respiratory stability
• Provide timely interventions in emergency and high-pressure situations as needed
