Elevate patient care by providing expert respiratory therapy in a dynamic and collaborative clinical environment. This contract opportunity requires an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist prepared to make an immediate impact within a specialized team.

Schedule:

  • Night shifts
  • 36 hours per week
  • 13-week duration

Qualifications:

  • Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • Active and unrestricted New York State Respiratory Therapist license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Proven experience in critical care and neonatal intensive care (NICU) settings
  • Proficiency with V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett ventilators
  • Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records
  • Ability and willingness to participate in external patient transports

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations, with a focus on intensive care and critical cases
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gases, pulmonary function tests, and airway management assessments
  • Initiate and manage various types of ventilator support, including V60 BiPAP and Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, in accordance with clinical protocols
  • Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams using the EPIC system
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, intubation assistance, and code team support
  • Travel as needed for patient transport outside the facility, ensuring continuity of care and safety
