Qualifications and Experience:

• Active credentials as a Respiratory Therapist and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Current state licensure required

• Proficiency in administering ventilator support, performing diagnostic procedures, and providing emergency respiratory intervention
• Strong communication and critical-thinking abilities
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and implement care plans for patients requiring respiratory therapy
• Administer treatments, therapies, and medications as prescribed, including management of artificial airways and ventilators
• Monitor patient responses and adjust care as necessary, documenting all interventions accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize patient care strategies
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory therapies and equipment usage
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and departmental policies
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment to ensure peak performance and safety
