Respiratory Therapist | Lakewood, Ohio

Schedule:

• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour nights (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
• On call for 4 nights during a six-week period (to cover additional departmental needs)

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Current, valid Ohio Respiratory Care Professional license
• BLS certification required
• Recent experience in an acute clinical setting preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to respond confidently in high-pressure and acute situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients under provider direction
• Perform diagnostic procedures, such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing
• Manage ventilators and support patients with varying levels of respiratory compromise
• Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies, including code blue situations
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and perform chest physiotherapy as ordered
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to optimize patient care plans
• Accurately document all treatments, procedures, and patient interactions
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory therapy equipment according to protocol
