An excellent opportunity is available for a dedicated respiratory care professional to deliver high-quality patient support in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract role requires expertise as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist, and is centered on providing crucial respiratory interventions for individuals of varying acuity levels.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Nights, 32 hours per week
  • 7:00pm – 7:30am
  • Includes weekend and holiday shifts

Qualifications:

  • Valid credentials as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Active state licensure in good standing
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
  • Proven experience in acute care and critical care settings is highly desirable
  • Exceptional communication skills, teamwork, and critical thinking abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed respiratory treatments and therapies to patients, monitoring response and documenting appropriately
  • Operate and maintain various respiratory care equipment including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and oxygen delivery systems
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust individualized care plans
  • Perform arterial blood gas sampling and interpret results to support clinical decision-making
  • Provide patient and family education regarding respiratory care and therapeutic techniques
  • Ensure compliance with facility protocols, sanitation, and infection control policies
