Registered Respiratory Therapist in Lakewood, OH

Schedule:

• Nights, 7:00pm–7:30am
• 32 hours per week
• Includes weekend and holiday shifts

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Proven expertise in respiratory care, including assessment, intervention, and monitoring
• Strong knowledge of pulmonary function, arterial blood gases, mechanical ventilation, and emergency airway management
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced hospital settings, responding calmly to urgent situations
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Current CPR/BLS certification required

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced respiratory therapy to acute and chronic patients, adapting interventions based on dynamic needs
• Perform diagnostic procedures, including arterial blood gas sampling and pulmonary function testing
• Implement, monitor, and adjust ventilator support according to physician directives and clinical protocols
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and equipment use
• Document all care activities accurately in medical records, maintaining compliance with facility standards
• Participate in emergency response efforts such as code blue and rapid response teams
