Registered Respiratory Therapist in Lakewood, OH

Seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist with a current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential to deliver patient-centered respiratory care within a well-equipped clinical setting. Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Previous clinical experience as a respiratory therapist strongly preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care plans tailored to patient needs
• Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and mechanical ventilation management
• Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function tests
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members for coordinated patient care
• Monitor and document patient response to therapy, reporting any changes promptly
• Maintain respiratory equipment, ensuring all devices are clean, calibrated, and ready for use
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home care instructions as needed
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety regulations at all times
