Key Qualifications:

  • Current license as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Proven clinical experience in acute or critical care settings
  • Strong proficiency with respiratory equipment, ventilators, and therapeutic modalities
  • Effective communication, assessment, and documentation skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient care needs and acuity levels
  • Compliance with all local and federal health regulations and protocols

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed respiratory care procedures and treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication delivery, chest physiotherapy, and airway management
  • Operate and monitor ventilators and other life support equipment
  • Conduct patient assessments, evaluate response to therapy, and adjust interventions as needed
  • Respond efficiently to code blue and rapid response situations, providing emergency airway management
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, and the broader healthcare team to create individualized care plans
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic medical records
  • Educate patients and their families about respiratory therapies and health management strategies
