Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Lincoln, Illinois

Qualifications:

• Current credentials as a Respiratory Therapist and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Valid state licensure for practice
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
• Previous acute care or hospital respiratory therapy experience is highly valued
• Proficiency in respiratory therapeutic modalities, ventilator management, and airway care
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt in fast-paced and high-acuity clinical settings

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assess and treat patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders
• Operate, monitor, and adjust mechanical ventilators and other respiratory therapy equipment
• Administer oxygen, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and other prescribed treatments
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other care providers to develop and implement effective care plans
• Monitor patient progress and document results; promptly report changes in patient condition
• Educate patients and families on respiratory management and home care procedures as needed
• Adhere to safety procedures, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
