Step into a vital role supporting patient care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist on a contract basis. This position offers the opportunity to work 8-hour day shifts, performing essential respiratory and critical care procedures under physician direction.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour day shifts

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Professional in the State of Georgia
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a long-term care environment is strongly preferred
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Computer proficiency with standard applications (e.g., Word, Excel)
  • Strong organizational skills and critical thinking abilities
  • Effective communicator able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute physician-ordered respiratory care plans, including all critical care functions
  • Monitor and assess patient respiratory status, making professional recommendations as appropriate
  • Operate ventilators and other respiratory equipment following best practice guidelines
  • Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient progress in medical records
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to remain current with clinical practices
