Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • Current license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the state
  • Experience working in acute care or hospital settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of ventilator management, airway care, and respiratory therapy protocols
  • Ability to perform assessments and interventions for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients as assigned
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and accuracy during high-pressure situations

Schedule:

  • 5- and 8-hour shifts available (details to be discussed during interview)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments and modalities as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patient responses and adjust interventions accordingly
  • Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen devices
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function tests
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide patient and family education on respiratory care and equipment usage
  • Maintain accurate records of treatments, assessments, and clinical findings
