Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in respiratory therapy techniques and procedures
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred
  • Experience in acute care or hospital settings highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be detail-oriented, with solid critical thinking abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care for patients following established protocols
  • Administer therapies including oxygen, aerosol, humidification, and medication delivery via appropriate devices
  • Set up and operate ventilators and other life-support devices as directed by physicians
  • Monitor and document patient responses to therapy
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory health, equipment usage, and rehabilitation techniques
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to ongoing patient care planning
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with regulatory standards
