Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Current licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Proven experience in acute or critical care respiratory therapy settings
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and document care for patients with respiratory conditions
  • Familiarity with mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, and oxygen delivery systems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork and patient support
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assessments and deliver a range of therapeutic procedures to patients with respiratory dysfunction
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain ventilators and respiratory equipment
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding disease management and therapeutic interventions
  • Document all care and procedures accurately in the patient’s medical record
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy as needed based on clinical findings and physician orders
  • Uphold infection control and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety
