This contract opportunity centers on a specialized team providing critical care at a facility recognized as a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, Chest Pain Center, and Certified Stroke Center. The role involves comprehensive respiratory care across a full spectrum of patient populations, from neonates to adults as needed.
Schedule & Hours:
- 12-hour night shifts; 36-hour work weeks
- Typical shift: 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend
- Holiday coverage: required for 75% of holidays
- No on-call requirements
- Up to 6 days of requested time off (excluding holidays), with time likely added to the end of the contract if contracted hours are not met
Required Qualifications:
- Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) with current NC licensure
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy, preferably on a Resource Team
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Experience with IPPV/NIPPV ventilators
- Skills in varied care settings: Emergency Department, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, and general medical floors
- EPIC EMR proficiency preferred
- Ability to provide care across neonate, pediatric, and, as needed, adult populations

- Deliver respiratory care throughout the facility, focusing on complex pediatric patients
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and clinical excellence
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and respiratory department leadership
- Utilize advanced respiratory equipment and follow specific protocols discussed during interview and orientation
