Key Qualifications:

• Valid, current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from NBRC
• Experience working in acute care, ICU, ER, or related hospital settings
• Strong skills in ventilator management, airway care, and patient assessment
• Proficient in administering therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• BLS and ACLS certification preferred

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct respiratory therapy treatments to patients under physician orders, including oxygen administration, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, and airway management
• Monitor, evaluate, and document patient response to therapy, making recommendations for adjustments as needed
• Operate and manage various respiratory equipment such as ventilators and BiPAP/CPAP devices
• Respond rapidly and effectively to respiratory emergencies and serve as an active member in code situations
• Conduct pulmonary function tests and other diagnostic assessments, interpreting results and communicating findings to healthcare team
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care, equipment, and preventive measures
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes
