Schedule/Hours:

  • 7:00 pm – 7:30 am shifts
  • Every other weekend (EOW) required

Qualifications:

  • Valid credentials as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within interdisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated experience in acute care or hospital settings beneficial

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and administer respiratory therapies for patients of varying acuity, including neonates if credentialed
  • Monitor, evaluate, and record treatment effectiveness while adjusting plans as needed
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Operate and maintain various respiratory equipment, ensuring proper usage and safety protocols
  • Respond efficiently to respiratory emergencies and participate in code situations
  • Educate patients and families on therapies, procedures, and respiratory health as appropriate
