Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 pm – 7:30 am shifts
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
Qualifications:
- Valid credentials as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within interdisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated experience in acute care or hospital settings beneficial
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and administer respiratory therapies for patients of varying acuity, including neonates if credentialed
- Monitor, evaluate, and record treatment effectiveness while adjusting plans as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Operate and maintain various respiratory equipment, ensuring proper usage and safety protocols
- Respond efficiently to respiratory emergencies and participate in code situations
- Educate patients and families on therapies, procedures, and respiratory health as appropriate
