Advance your career as a skilled Respiratory Therapist in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract opportunity offers the flexibility of choosing between 36-hour or 48-hour assignments, with 12-hour night shifts running from 7:00pm. Professionals who hold either a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential or a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification (with at least two years of experience) are encouraged to apply. Candidates with prior Cerner or EPIC EMR experience are highly valued, and first-time travelers are welcome if they meet the experience requirements.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RRT or CRT certification (CRT applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/APLS preferred
  • Previous experience with Cerner or EPIC electronic medical records
  • Demonstrated expertise in adult general and critical care respiratory therapy
  • Familiarity with technology including Omnicell, Spacelabs monitors, and ventilators such as PB 840, PB 980, Drager VN500, LTV, and Airvo
  • Willingness to float to like units as staffing needs arise

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour night shifts, 48 hours per week
  • Weekend rotation required (every other weekend)
  • Voluntary on-call available

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy services to diverse hospital patient populations
  • Accurately document care and collaborate with an interprofessional team using Cerner EMR
  • Manage and operate advanced ventilators and medication dispensing tools
  • Support patients across various acuity levels, managing critical and non-critical ventilatory support
  • Participate in thorough orientation: 24 hours classroom and 24 hours on unit for new or returning travelers
