Bring your advanced clinical skills to a dynamic Respiratory Therapy service serving a large adult care and NICU patient population. This contract opportunity requires travel across multiple sites in the region and provides a supportive environment led by experienced respiratory care leaders. The setting is a high-volume, 337-bed, Chest Pain and Stroke Center with a focus on teamwork and quality care.
Schedule Details:
- 12-hour night shifts (36 hours per week)
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend rotation
- 75% holiday coverage expected
- No on-call or call-back requirements
Key Qualifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with NC licensure required
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in Respiratory Therapy
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (Resource Team)
- Critical Care, CVICU, NICU, ED, progressive care, and all standard floor therapy skills
- EMR proficiency (EPIC preferred)
- Willingness and flexibility to float within Region 2 facilities as needed
- Open to first-time travelers
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver respiratory therapy to adult and NICU patients, managing 300+ patients/day
- Provide care across multiple departments and facility types in Region 2 within scope of practice
- Utilize advanced ventilatory equipment, including Servo I/U/Airs, Trilogy, ResMed, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, and bubble cpap
- Collaborate with care teams and uphold a strong culture of teamwork and mutual support
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC
- Wear royal blue scrubs and adapt to rotating assignments based on patient and facility needs
