Deliver exceptional patient care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with a dynamic regional healthcare team. This contract opportunity provides a valuable experience across multiple settings, offering both professional growth and a collaborative work environment.
Schedule:
- 12-hour night shifts (36 hours/week)
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend rotation
- Travelers will work approximately 75% of major holidays
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required within the region (including Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division facilities)
- Travelers are compensated for any time spent traveling mid-shift between sites
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Respiratory Therapy
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Active North Carolina license
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (Resource Team requirements)
- Critical care, NICU, CVICU, ED, progressive care, and all floor therapies experience preferred
- Ability to work with diverse adult and NICU patient populations
- Comfortable using EPIC and specialized respiratory equipment (e.g., Servo ventilators, Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve)
- Willingness to float to multiple facilities
- Must reside 50+ miles from designated home unit
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based therapies to adult and NICU patients
- Assess and respond to respiratory patient needs in critical and progressive care environments
- Collaborate closely with department leadership and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure seamless transitions when floating between sites
