Registered Respiratory Therapist in Montgomery, AL

This is a contract position working alongside multidisciplinary teams, covering both adult and NICU patient populations in a facility recognized as a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour shifts: 7am–7pm or 7pm–7am
• Every other weekend rotation
• Voluntary on-call opportunities available
• Holiday coverage required: one major and one minor holiday per policy
• Up to 7 days of approved time off, excluding facility blackout dates

Qualifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) considered with at least 2 years of experience
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience required—no exceptions for first-year professionals
• BLS certification required; NRP required for NICU assignments; ACLS/APLS preferred
• Experience with Cerner (or Epic) EMR
• For NICU roles: experience in a Level III NICU within the past 12 months, including ground transport and Nitric Oxide administration (transport experience preferred)
• Familiarity with: PB 840/980, Drager VN500, LTV, Airvo ventilators; Spacelabs monitors; Omnicell medication dispensing

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care for a diverse patient population, including NICU and adult patients
• Administer advanced respiratory therapies in critical care and neonatal settings
• Float to units as needed, including cross-coverage between adult and NICU patients
• Participate in voluntary on-call rotation and mandated holiday shifts
• Document and track interventions accurately in EMR

$2,064 - $2,176/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
