Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Active credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
  • Current state licensure as required.
  • Proven competency in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (e.g., aerosol therapy, ventilator management, airway care).
  • Excellent communication skills for patient instruction and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or acute-care setting is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients in accordance with physician orders.
  • Perform assessments, implement therapies, administer medications, and monitor patient progress.
  • Operate and maintain ventilators and other respiratory support equipment with proficiency.
  • Document all care and interventions accurately, maintaining compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
  • Educate patients and family members regarding respiratory treatments and strategies for improved pulmonary health.
  • Respond quickly to critical situations, providing advanced airway management as needed.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to adjust care plans and improve patient outcomes.
