Key Qualifications:

  • Active credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Familiarity with advanced respiratory therapy equipment and technology
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure or urgent care situations
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations, including adults and pediatrics, preferred
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer and monitor respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Operate and maintain ventilators, oxygen therapy devices, and other respiratory equipment
  • Perform arterial blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation
  • Assess patient respiratory status and document changes or responses to treatments
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory therapy procedures and home care protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff on care plans
  • Ensure compliance with all privacy, quality, and safety regulations in the delivery of respiratory care
