Qualifications:

• Strong assessment, documentation, and patient education skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other allied health staff

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Perform diagnostic evaluations such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests
• Monitor patients’ responses to treatment, adjusting therapy and reporting changes as appropriate
• Maintain accurate documentation in patient medical records
• Educate patients and their families on equipment usage, therapies, and healthy respiratory practices
• Ensure all respiratory therapy equipment is functioning safely and effectively
• Promote infection control and safety procedures throughout all patient care activities
