An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled Respiratory Therapist. Expertise as a Registered Respiratory Therapist is required for this pivotal role, which supports patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Schedule:
- 7:00pm – 7:30am
- Every other weekend rotation
Qualifications:
- Current credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Valid BLS certification (required)
- NRP certification preferred
- Demonstrated experience performing respiratory therapy in acute care settings
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and adaptable to changing clinical circumstances
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care to patients as ordered
- Operate and monitor respiratory equipment; ensure proper function and maintenance
- Administer therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and breathing treatments
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans
- Respond efficiently to emergency situations, providing advanced airway management when required
- Accurately document all assessments, treatments, and changes in patient condition
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in respiratory therapy
