An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled Respiratory Therapist. Expertise as a Registered Respiratory Therapist is required for this pivotal role, which supports patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Schedule:

  • 7:00pm – 7:30am
  • Every other weekend rotation

Qualifications:

  • Current credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Valid BLS certification (required)
  • NRP certification preferred
  • Demonstrated experience performing respiratory therapy in acute care settings
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and adaptable to changing clinical circumstances

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care to patients as ordered
  • Operate and monitor respiratory equipment; ensure proper function and maintenance
  • Administer therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and breathing treatments
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans
  • Respond efficiently to emergency situations, providing advanced airway management when required
  • Accurately document all assessments, treatments, and changes in patient condition
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in respiratory therapy
