Respiratory Therapist | North Canton, Ohio

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)
• Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Valid registration or certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Strong understanding of the operation and monitoring of ventilators and other respiratory equipment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Prior clinical experience in acute care or hospital environments is highly desirable

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures such as oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, and arterial blood gas analysis
• Collaborate with physicians to develop patient care plans and adjust ventilator support as needed
• Document patient progress and interventions in medical records accurately and promptly
• Educate patients and their families regarding respiratory treatments and self-management techniques
• Ensure the proper maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of equipment
• Respond to codes and emergency situations, providing rapid respiratory interventions as required
