Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)
- Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program
- Valid registration or certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Strong understanding of the operation and monitoring of ventilators and other respiratory equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Prior clinical experience in acute care or hospital environments is highly desirable
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures such as oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, and arterial blood gas analysis
- Collaborate with physicians to develop patient care plans and adjust ventilator support as needed
- Document patient progress and interventions in medical records accurately and promptly
- Educate patients and their families regarding respiratory treatments and self-management techniques
- Ensure the proper maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of equipment
- Respond to codes and emergency situations, providing rapid respiratory interventions as required
