Registered Respiratory Therapist in North Charleston, SC

What we’re looking for:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentials required
• Active, unencumbered respiratory therapy license
• Current BLS certification
• Previous hospital or acute care experience preferred
• Proficient with ventilator management, airway care, and related procedures
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Key responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy
• Perform diagnostic evaluations, such as arterial blood gas sampling and pulmonary function testing
• Management and monitoring of ventilator-supported patients
• Provide emergency airway management support as needed
• Educate patients and their families about managing respiratory conditions and therapies
• Accurately document all assessments, treatments, and patient responses in clinical records
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to care planning
