What we’re looking for:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentials required
- Active, unencumbered respiratory therapy license
- Current BLS certification
- Previous hospital or acute care experience preferred
- Proficient with ventilator management, airway care, and related procedures
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Key responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy
- Perform diagnostic evaluations, such as arterial blood gas sampling and pulmonary function testing
- Management and monitoring of ventilator-supported patients
- Provide emergency airway management support as needed
- Educate patients and their families about managing respiratory conditions and therapies
- Accurately document all assessments, treatments, and patient responses in clinical records
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to care planning
