Qualifications:

  • Active licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
  • Proven experience in acute or sub-acute healthcare settings
  • Strong clinical respiratory therapy skills, including carrying out physician-ordered therapies, ventilator management, and airway care
  • Ability to perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas sampling and pulmonary function tests
  • A solid foundation in infection control and safety protocols
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care to patients of varying ages and diagnoses
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure high standards of patient care
  • Administer prescribed interventions such as oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and chest physiotherapy
  • Manage and monitor non-invasive and invasive ventilation, including setup, troubleshooting, and weaning of support
  • Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and treatments
  • Accurately document patient assessment, interventions, and responses
