Qualifications:
- Active licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Proven experience in acute or sub-acute healthcare settings
- Strong clinical respiratory therapy skills, including carrying out physician-ordered therapies, ventilator management, and airway care
- Ability to perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas sampling and pulmonary function tests
- A solid foundation in infection control and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care to patients of varying ages and diagnoses
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure high standards of patient care
- Administer prescribed interventions such as oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and chest physiotherapy
- Manage and monitor non-invasive and invasive ventilation, including setup, troubleshooting, and weaning of support
- Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and treatments
- Accurately document patient assessment, interventions, and responses
