Schedule:

  • Nights
  • 36 hours per week
  • 13-week contract

Qualifications:

  • Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) credentials
  • Valid New York State Respiratory Therapist license
  • Experience in critical care and NICU settings
  • Proficiency with V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett ventilators
  • Prior use of EPIC electronic medical records
  • Ability to participate in external patient transports as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
  • Manage ventilators and delivery systems, ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Provide specialized respiratory care to neonatal and critical care patients
  • Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses using EPIC
  • Respond to emergency situations and collaborate with healthcare team members during rapid response or code events
  • Accompany and support patients during transport outside the facility
