Seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support patient care for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working nights and have significant experience in critical care and neonatal intensive care environments.
Schedule & Hours:
- Night shifts
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week assignment
Qualifications:
- Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
- Active New York State (NYS) license in good standing
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
- Demonstrated experience in critical care and NICU settings
- Proficiency utilizing V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett ventilators
- Prior experience with EPIC charting systems
- Willingness and ability to participate in external patient transports
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients
- Assess, evaluate, and document respiratory care according to established protocols
- Operate advanced ventilatory support equipment including V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett units
- Accurately maintain records in the EPIC electronic medical record system
- Safely manage and support patients during internal and external transports
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes in critical care and NICU environments
