Seeking an experienced and compassionate professional to provide respiratory therapy services in a fast-paced, Level I trauma environment. This role supports both adult and pediatric patients in critical care and emergency settings over a 13-week period, offering a dynamic opportunity to work within a teaching hospital.

Schedule:

  • 3x12 hour night shifts per week (specific days to be confirmed during interview)

Key Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials
  • Active Rhode Island license
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in Pediatric Emergency Department and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
  • Previous work in both adult and pediatric Level I trauma settings
  • Teaching hospital background highly valued
  • Proficiency in scrubs; any color allowed as per dress code

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy care to critically ill adult and pediatric patients
  • Collaborate efficiently with other healthcare professionals in trauma, ICU, PICU, and ED settings
  • Provide advanced airway management and ventilator support as required
  • Assess, monitor, and document responses to respiratory interventions
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory procedures and treatments
  • Contribute to a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
