Qualifications:

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Current and valid state license for practice
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Proven experience in acute care or hospital environments is highly desirable
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams and respond effectively in emergency situations

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and provide respiratory care interventions for acutely ill patients as prescribed by physicians
• Administer therapeutic treatments, ventilator management, and respiratory medications
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses and document all care activities
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to develop patient care plans
• Conduct diagnostic procedures, including arterial blood gases and pulmonary function tests
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care, equipment use, and at-home techniques
• Maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with facility protocols and regulatory standards
• Adhere to established infection control and safety procedures
