Registered Respiratory Therapist in Pike Road, AL

Schedule:

• Shifts available: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
• Every other weekend rotation
• Voluntary on-call shifts offered
• Holiday coverage: one major and one minor holiday per year (per policy)
• Up to 7 days of approved time off (excluding blackout dates)

Qualifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) considered with at least two years of experience
• BLS required; NRP required for NICU; ACLS/APLS preferred
• Experience with Cerner or EPIC EMR systems is necessary
• At least two years of respiratory therapy experience in relevant acute-care settings
• Previous Level III NICU experience within the last 12 months is required for NICU positions
• Familiarity with ground transport, Nitric Oxide administration, and advanced ventilator systems preferred
• First-time travelers must have two years of experience
• Professionalism and adaptability to float between adult, NICU, and other like units as needed

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to diverse patient types throughout hospital units, including Level III NICU and critical care
• Operate and manage a variety of ventilators and advanced respiratory devices
• Perform ground transports and advanced procedures for neonatal and adult patients
• Accurately document therapy and interventions in Cerner EMR system
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to support patient goals
• Participate in facility orientation (24 hours classroom, 24 hours unit-based for new or returning staff)

$1,800 - $1,958/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
