Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Portsmouth, Virginia

Schedule:

• Weekdays, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• At least 2 years of recent experience, preferably in a generalist capacity
• Experience working with GE equipment required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and NRP certifications preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

• Deliver a range of respiratory care modalities to patients of varying acuity, ensuring the highest safety and quality standards
• Assess, plan, and evaluate respiratory care plans in coordination with physicians and nursing staff
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment and devices
• Provide responsive interventions during respiratory emergencies and participate in code situations as needed
• Document all care provided, following facility guidelines and compliance requirements
• Educate patients and families about respiratory therapies, equipment, and aftercare protocols
