Schedule:
- 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week (specific days will be discussed during the interview)
Qualifications:
- Current RI Respiratory Therapist license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Background in both adult and pediatric respiratory therapy
- Experience in Pediatric Emergency Department and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit highly desirable
- Level I trauma experience in both adult and pediatric settings
- ICU and pediatric respiratory therapy experience
- Willingness to work in a teaching hospital environment
- Strong clinical skills with a compassionate approach to care
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in high-acuity areas, including the Pediatric ED, PICU, and adult critical care units
- Conduct and interpret respiratory diagnostics and therapeutic interventions
- Educate patients and families on respiratory management
- Respond to code blue and rapid response events
- Adapt to the demands of a busy Level I trauma center
