Respiratory Therapist | Providence, Rhode Island

Schedule:

• 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week (specific days will be discussed during the interview)

Qualifications:

• Current RI Respiratory Therapist license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
• Background in both adult and pediatric respiratory therapy
• Experience in Pediatric Emergency Department and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit highly desirable
• Level I trauma experience in both adult and pediatric settings
• ICU and pediatric respiratory therapy experience
• Willingness to work in a teaching hospital environment
• Strong clinical skills with a compassionate approach to care

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in high-acuity areas, including the Pediatric ED, PICU, and adult critical care units
• Conduct and interpret respiratory diagnostics and therapeutic interventions
• Educate patients and families on respiratory management
• Respond to code blue and rapid response events
• Adapt to the demands of a busy Level I trauma center
