Qualifications:
- Current registration as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
- Valid state licensure in Respiratory Care
- Clinical experience in a hospital or acute care environment preferred
- Ability to operate respiratory therapy equipment and interpret results accurately
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- BLS and ACLS certifications preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care procedures for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
- Administer therapies including oxygen, aerosolized medications, and ventilator management as prescribed
- Monitor patient response, adjust ventilator settings, and conduct respiratory assessments
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, therapies, and patient progress in compliance with hospital policies
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and rapid response team activations
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other allied health staff to achieve positive patient outcomes
