Registered Respiratory Therapist in South Windsor, CT

Bring your expertise as a Registered Respiratory Therapist to a dedicated healthcare team supporting patients’ respiratory health. In this vital role, you’ll deliver respiratory care and treatment plans to individuals with acute and chronic respiratory issues, working collaboratively with physicians and nursing staff to provide exceptional patient care on a contractual basis.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Valid license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Experience implementing respiratory therapies in clinical or hospital settings
• Adept at using ventilators, oxygen delivery devices, and other respiratory care equipment
• Strong communication and assessment skills with attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients’ respiratory status, providing appropriate interventions as needed
• Administer therapeutic procedures, such as oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, chest physiotherapy, and airway management
• Set up and manage mechanical ventilation and perform routine checks on equipment
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to establish effective, individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education regarding respiratory treatments and home care
• Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient responses in medical records
• Participate in emergency response as required
