Qualifications & Experience Needed:

  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • Active state license as required for practice
  • Minimum of one year of recent experience in acute care or hospital environments preferred
  • Proficient in respiratory therapy equipment and patient monitoring systems
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory disorders using established protocols
  • Administer oxygen, aerosolized medications, and therapy as prescribed by healthcare providers
  • Operate ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP machines, and related respiratory care equipment
  • Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling, analysis, and interpretation
  • Document all therapeutic interventions and patient responses accurately in electronic health records
  • Educate patients and their families on respiratory management and therapy plans
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals for optimal patient outcomes
