Qualifications & Experience Needed:
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Active state license as required for practice
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in acute care or hospital environments preferred
- Proficient in respiratory therapy equipment and patient monitoring systems
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory disorders using established protocols
- Administer oxygen, aerosolized medications, and therapy as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Operate ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP machines, and related respiratory care equipment
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling, analysis, and interpretation
- Document all therapeutic interventions and patient responses accurately in electronic health records
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory management and therapy plans
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals for optimal patient outcomes
