Respiratory Therapist | Springfield, Illinois

Qualifications:

• Valid credentials as a Respiratory Therapist (RT), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Current, active state license to practice as a respiratory therapist
• Proven experience in administering various respiratory therapies, including oxygen administration and ventilator management
• Familiarity with respiratory equipment such as ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and airway clearance devices
• Strong clinical assessment skills and decision-making abilities
• Effective communicator able to work well with interdisciplinary team members
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Reliable with excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Assess, evaluate, and treat patients with respiratory disorders according to physician orders
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing
• Administer therapeutic interventions including aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and airway management
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory care devices
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and respiratory care procedures
• Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in medical records
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on patient care plans

$1,685 - $1,843/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
