Schedule:
- 3 x 12-hour Day shifts each week, 7:00am – 7:30pm
- Specific shift days will be determined during the interview process
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Active BLS certification
- Valid CT Respiratory Therapist license
- Proven recent experience working in respiratory care within acute care or hospital settings
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative clinical team
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, evaluate care needs, and implement therapeutic interventions for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
- Deliver a wide range of respiratory care modalities, including mechanical ventilation management, aerosol therapy, and airway clearance techniques
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to support individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient progress, document treatments accurately, and update records in compliance with facility and regulatory guidelines
- Provide patient and family education on respiratory care equipment and home-care techniques as needed
- Actively uphold infection control and safety protocols
- Respond promptly to urgent respiratory situations and code calls
