Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care required
• Minimum of three years’ experience, ideally in long-term care
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials via the National Board of Respiratory Therapy
• Active Respiratory Care Professional licensure in Georgia
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Word and Excel
• Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Responsibilities:

• Perform all prescribed respiratory care and critical care therapies as ordered by physicians
• Monitor and assess patients’ respiratory status, adjusting interventions as needed
• Document all care, interventions, and patient responses in compliance with regulatory standards
• Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to support individualized patient care plans
• Provide education to patients and families about respiratory therapies and home care considerations
• Stay current on respiratory care techniques and continuing education to ensure best practices
