Respiratory Therapist | Strongsville, Ohio

Contribute your expertise as a Respiratory Therapist in a vital contract role supporting patients through essential respiratory care services. This opportunity is based in a reputable healthcare setting and is structured for a 13-week assignment.

Schedule/Hours:

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Night shift: 6:00 pm – 6:30 am
• On-call requirement: 4 nights during every six-week cycle, covering additional service areas

Qualifications:

• Active Ohio Respiratory Care Practitioner (OH License) required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials (RRT) preferred
• BLS certification required
• Previous acute care or hospital experience preferred
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Administer all facets of respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic conditions
• Perform diagnostic testing and therapeutic interventions as ordered by physicians
• Monitor and evaluate patients' responses to treatments, making recommendations for modifying care as needed
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical team members to support comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory therapies and device usage
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled to provide additional coverage as needed
