Qualifications:

• Valid Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials
• Current state licensure as required
• Successful completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• BLS certification (additional certifications such as ACLS preferred)
• Prior acute care or hospital experience is highly desirable
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and respiratory care planning for patients of all ages
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and life support to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders
• Operate, monitor, and maintain respiratory equipment including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to formulate and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care procedures and self-management
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care and therapy provided
