- Proficiency with diagnostic respiratory equipment, ventilator management, and therapeutic procedures.
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and documentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize patient care needs and respond effectively in urgent situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory illnesses.
- Operate and monitor complex respiratory equipment, including mechanical ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP machines, and oxygen therapy devices.
- Perform arterial blood gas analysis, pulmonary function testing, and related diagnostic procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families regarding respiratory conditions, treatments, and preventative measures.
- Accurately document therapy provided and patient responses in medical records.
- Maintain strict adherence to hospital safety and infection control protocols.
