Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the NBRC.
• Valid state licensure or eligibility as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Recent clinical experience in acute care, critical care, or hospital environments.
• Proficiency with diagnostic respiratory equipment, ventilator management, and therapeutic procedures.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and documentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize patient care needs and respond effectively in urgent situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory illnesses.
• Operate and monitor complex respiratory equipment, including mechanical ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP machines, and oxygen therapy devices.
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis, pulmonary function testing, and related diagnostic procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding respiratory conditions, treatments, and preventative measures.
• Accurately document therapy provided and patient responses in medical records.
• Maintain strict adherence to hospital safety and infection control protocols.
