Registered Respiratory Therapist in Tarboro, NC

Qualifications:

• Active credentials as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Current, valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Solid understanding of respiratory therapies, pulmonary function testing, and mechanical ventilation
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication abilities and strong attention to detail
• Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably hospital-based

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients with respiratory disorders
• Administer therapeutic procedures including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, chest physiotherapy, and ventilator management
• Perform pulmonary function assessments as required
• Document treatment plans, interventions, and patient responses accurately in electronic medical records
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions and proper use of respiratory equipment
• Respond promptly to emergency codes and provide life-saving interventions
• Work collaboratively with nursing, medical, and allied health staff to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care
