Qualifications and Experience:

• Current credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Valid respiratory therapy license as required by the state
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge and skill in administering respiratory treatments and monitoring patient progress
• Experience with ventilators, oxygen therapy, and other advanced respiratory modalities
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care and therapeutic interventions for patients as ordered by physicians
• Perform diagnostic procedures, such as arterial blood gases, spirometry, and pulmonary function testing
• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation, airway care, and emergency respiratory interventions
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses according to hospital protocols and regulatory standards
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health management and equipment use
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and troubleshoot issues as needed
