Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Taylorville, Illinois

Seeking an experienced professional with expertise as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist to deliver exceptional care in a supportive healthcare setting. Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
• Active state licensure for practicing respiratory care
• Competency in performing respiratory therapy procedures, including ventilator management, airway clearance, and oxygen therapy
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Prior hospital or clinical experience preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Ability to adapt to patient needs and maintain detailed documentation

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, effective respiratory care and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
• Assess, monitor, and document patient respiratory status and responses to therapy
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and other respiratory equipment
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about respiratory treatments and self-care techniques
• Participate actively in rapid response and code situations
• Maintain compliance with infection control and safety procedures
