• Valid and current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
• Proven experience in acute care settings preferred
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Proficiency in operating ventilators, monitoring equipment, and performing diagnostic procedures
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Core responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy treatments
• Administer oxygen and aerosol medications, initiate and manage mechanical ventilation
• Perform diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing
• Monitor patient responses and adjust therapy based on clinical protocols
• Educate patients and their families on disease management and at-home respiratory care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all respiratory care interventions
• Ensure all protocols and safety measures are followed to the highest standard
