Key qualifications and experience:
- Valid and current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Proven experience in acute care settings preferred
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Proficiency in operating ventilators, monitoring equipment, and performing diagnostic procedures
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Core responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy treatments
- Administer oxygen and aerosol medications, initiate and manage mechanical ventilation
- Perform diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing
- Monitor patient responses and adjust therapy based on clinical protocols
- Educate patients and their families on disease management and at-home respiratory care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all respiratory care interventions
- Ensure all protocols and safety measures are followed to the highest standard

$1,694 - $1,792/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
