As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play an essential role in patient care, working alongside physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver specialized respiratory support. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing, planning, and administering respiratory treatments to individuals of all ages.

Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Current state licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and monitor the respiratory status of patients using diagnostic equipment and clinical assessment
• Administer oxygen, aerosolized medications, and other therapeutic modalities as prescribed
• Assist with mechanical ventilation management, including setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care procedures and equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and modify individualized care plans
• Perform patient assessments, document care provided, and report progress or changes in condition
• Maintain equipment and ensure a safe and clean work environment
• Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
