An excellent opportunity is available for a skilled professional experienced as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist. In this contract role, you will work a 13-week assignment providing critical respiratory care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Day shift: 7:00am – 7:30pm
  • Specific days will be determined during the interview process

Qualifications:

  • Current credential as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Active Connecticut state license in good standing
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Previous clinical experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality respiratory treatments and therapies to patients as ordered by medical staff
  • Operate and monitor mechanical ventilators, oxygen therapy equipment, and diagnostic devices
  • Assess patients and evaluate effectiveness of treatments; modify approaches as needed
  • Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and progress in electronic medical records
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to develop and implement respiratory care plans
  • Provide patient education regarding respiratory treatments and disease management
  • Uphold commitment to patient safety and infection control standards
