This position supports both adult and pediatric patients, with a particular emphasis on pediatric emergency and intensive care. Schedule:

  • 13-week contract
  • 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week (specific days will be finalized during the interview process)

Key Qualifications:

  • Current registration as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Active Rhode Island license to practice
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
  • Pediatric respiratory therapy experience essential
  • Willingness to work in Pediatric ED and PICU settings
  • Experience in both adult and pediatric Level I trauma preferred
  • Previous exposure to ICU and pediatric care environments highly beneficial

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality respiratory care to both pediatric and adult patients
  • Perform assessments, initiate appropriate interventions, and closely monitor outcomes in critical care settings
  • Work collaboratively within rapidly changing environments, supporting trauma and teaching hospital standards
  • Document therapies and patient progress according to hospital protocols
  • Respond swiftly to patient emergencies alongside a diverse clinical team
