Registered Respiratory Therapist in West Hartford, CT

Seeking a skilled professional with expertise as a Respiratory Therapist and Registered Respiratory Therapist for a contract assignment. This opportunity offers the chance to deliver vital, hands-on respiratory care in an engaging and collaborative environment.

Schedule:

• 7:00 pm – 7:30 am shifts
• Every other weekend required

Qualifications:

• Active credentials as a Respiratory Therapist and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Valid BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferred
• Prior clinical experience in acute care or hospital settings is a plus
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide prescribed respiratory therapy treatments and diagnostic procedures, such as aerosol therapy, airway management, and ventilator support
• Monitor patients’ physiological responses during treatment, adjusting therapy when necessary
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care plans
• Participate in emergency interventions including code blue and high-risk deliveries
• Keep detailed and accurate documentation of all therapies and patient responses
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory therapies and home care as needed
• Maintain compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
